]]>In 2013, I packed my bags and booked a solo one-way ticket to Australia. I fell in love with the outdoor, laid-back lifestyle and worked with horses for several years to get my permanent residency visa.
After a few injuries, I knew it was time to change careers. I never saw myself as an “office job” person and after speaking with Queensland Police Service officers, I soon realised that was where I wanted to be. I got accepted into the academy in 2018 and have never looked back. I love the challenges of policing, the range of opportunities and having the support of my “blue family”.

]]>I decided to join the police ‘late in life’ after I had been thinking about doing it for ages. It just goes to show you are never too old to find out what you love doing and to pursue your dreams. I completed my police recruit course and started working as a general duties police officer, which is the type of police officer the community will see on a day-to-day basis.
I then progressed into a specialisation and am now a Senior Intelligence Officer. Intelligence is fun because I get paid to be a nosey nerd.

]]>I began my university journey in February 2020 studying full time. In May 2020 I turned 18 and I was eligible to apply for recruitment as a Queensland Police Officer. My recruitment journey was put on halt for a few months due to the Covid 19 pandemic and an unexpected knee reconstruction.
Within just over a year and a half of recruitment, I accepted an offer as a Police recruit at the Oxley Police Academy. I was sworn into the Queensland Police Service on the 30th of June 2022 as a Constable of Queensland Police. I am currently working in the Logan district as a general duties Police Officer.
