About me

I finished year 12 in November 2019, and was accepted into a Bachelor of Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Psychological Science at Griffith University.

I began my university journey in February 2020 studying full time. In May 2020 I turned 18 and I was eligible to apply for recruitment as a Queensland Police Officer. My recruitment journey was put on halt for a few months due to the Covid 19 pandemic and an unexpected knee reconstruction.

Within just over a year and a half of recruitment, I accepted an offer as a Police recruit at the Oxley Police Academy. I was sworn into the Queensland Police Service on the 30th of June 2022 as a Constable of Queensland Police. I am currently working in the Logan district as a general duties Police Officer.

The role of a Police Officer entails providing operational policing services to the community by protecting life and property, preserving peace and safety, preventing crime and upholding law in a manner which has regard for the public good and rights of individuals.

General duties of a Police Officer are to respond immediately to calls of service for the public and without hesitation, put their bodies on the frontline for protection of the community.

A day in the life of a general duties Police Officer consist of responding to jobs such as traffic crashes, domestic violence incidents, arrest and search warrants, welfare checks and assisting the Ambulance Service in medical procedures. These jobs are just a handful of the day-to-day experiences in the life of a general duties Police Officer.
